Rotation energy is the most important for the attacking topspin game. Strong tangential friction stabilizes the winning trajectory of attacking shots. Speed is created by the force we direct directly into the ball. However, the more forward the contact point, the harder it is to spin the ball. Because the rubber is harder and demanding, it requires fairly high technical knowledge to unleash its optimal potential.

This is the first rubber with dual tension and with X-Factor that does not require a dual-tension booster, as it is already built in. This was enabled by the use of artificial intelligence. Jekyll & Hyde C55.0 features a thicker top sheet, shorter pips, and a more compact pip arrangement.

The top sheet is coated with optimized tackiness and minimal gap, and the optimized integration between the top sheet and the sponge allows for a better feel when hitting the ball.

Inside the sponge Epsilon, our new technology for sponge production ensures that the blisters are smaller and more evenly distributed. The low-pip geometry increases energy transfer from the epsilon sponge, so the epsilon sponge can still offer power at distant contact that is more directly transmitted to the ball.

But the use of this rubber weakens the balls, hit far away from the table. To replace these deficiencies, players use amplifiers, that strengthen the rubbers tension at strikes from a distance.

The so named 'FACTOR X' is the key factor of the Chinese dominance over table tennis. February of 2024 the ITTF introduced regulation for gradual prohibition of amplifier use. They developed Jekyll & Hyde C55.0. This is the first rubber with double tension (dual tension) with X-Factor, which doesn’t need the booster of dual tension because it is already integrated. This was enabled by the use of artificial intelligence.
